Is The United Airlines PR Debacle A Line In The Sand For Passenger Rights?

A video of a United Airlines passenger being dragged off flight 3411 against his will has gone viral and has left United Airlines with yet another PR disaster in an ever increasing line of them, but will this incident bring into question the practice of overbooking? And will it make passengers question just why they are getting such bad service across the board from all airlines in the first place?

Travelling spontaneously is an age old travel custom and a backpacking art that is slowly being lost in the age of pre booking apps and gap year itineraries. Making And Breaking Friendships When You Travel The World.

Travelling the world is a glorious adventure, and one where you will meet some of the most amazing, decent, crazy and sometimes downright mental people on the planet. You can meet some amazing friends on your gap year, but you can grow distant from some old ones too, and even the new ones you meet can be in your life for years, a week or so or just one night. Playing the game of social roulette and constant hellos and goodbyes can sometimes be hard, and as a long term traveller you do have to be prepared for that.

Why United Airlines Basic Economy Tickets Worry Me.

United Airlines has just introduced a new basic economy ticket, which strips away the already bare bone ‘luxuries’ of economy class travel completely, including the use of the overhead bin. This is just another landmark in a worrying race to the bottom for all airlines and it signals a lot of problems ahead for all travellers.
