Travel Safety Month On Bemused Backpacker.

November is Travel Safety month on Bemused Backpacker and the whole month is going to be devoted to every aspect of gap year safety and staying safe on your travels.

Travel safety is an extremely important topic, and one I devote a lot of time to here on Bemused Backpacker, so much so I have even written two books on the subject and run my own Gap Year Safety Consultation Course.

It is important to remember that the world in general terms is actually quite a safe place, and travel in and of itself is not inherently dangerous. That does not however mean that there are not risks and dangers out there. The trick to staying safe on the road is knowing as much as possible about those risks and dangers, and taking reasonable steps to reduce that risk as much as humanely possible.

This is where I come in.

The whole month of November is going to be devoted to the topic of travel safety.

All month you will see a host of new posts dedicated to a specific aspect of this important topic, and of course there are a whole catalogue of back articles to read through as well. Whether you are worried about basic travel safety, having your pack or your gear stolen, travelling alone as a woman or as a man, or even travelling with the heightened threat of terrorism in the world, it doesn’t matter, I have you covered.

But I want to hear from you too. What are your biggest travel fears? What are the safety concerns that worry you the most when travelling? Come and join the conversation on my Facebook or Twitter pages, or as always feel free to email me too. I’d love to hear from you all.

Did you enjoy this article? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments section below or on my Facebook or Twitter pages and please feel free to share it with any or all of the social media buttons. I’m taking my first gap year starting in march, do you have any specific advice for a solo female travelling on her own?
